I just now wondered this. Currently, I'm home alone. My boyfriend and one roommate are at their friends house. The other roommate is at work. Yet I never believe I'm alone. Like. I can't sing like I want to or as loud because I think someone is on the other side of the door listening and making fun of me while recording to show the Internet how bad it is. I realized I've thought this for years and years now. Even in my own home. I think there's microphones recording so people can laugh later.

Does it seem more of a major insecurity or delusion?

Sometimes the same happens to me, that's why I avoid googling certain things: someone is like watching me doing and laughing of it.

Howevere, since I have never found who he is, now I ignore him.

I can't stand it. I can't even sing in my schools private music sound booths because I think they're recording.

If you can prove a delusion then why call it that? Is there a room in the adjacent wall of the apartment with tenants? Yes, there theoretically someone can hear right? Do you have neighbors are you in a urban city where homes are close to together? Are you loud as all get out then theoretically you can be heard?

Are you insecure due to your loudness? Sounds like a thought that someone might call you name that makes you feel a little inferior. Do you got a friend neighbor with a quick trigger that might critique yalls loud sex life? LOL, I guess you better be quiet cause that is personal unless you talk in that way.

Are you depressed?
Depersonalization/Derealization?
Are you holding on to him like soul tie? Is he negative in your company? Has that caused some traumatization in your life belief that you carry.
Could be self esteems issues CBT can help with that.

Delusion is a strong word for those with beliefs that they never try to prove just a bunch of wild statements they believe, kind of a gentle relality problem, totally normal for them
