i know no one is an expert on here,i was diagnosed psychosis nos over 4 years a go and been on anti psychotics ever since. they lowered my anti psychotic and slowly i became ill and ended up sectioned for nearly a year.my anti psychotics have now been upped and i am a lot better. i was reading about psychosis nos and i found out you only need to be on antipsychotics for a year or less, but ive been on them a lot longer,so its made me think, could i have something more then psychosis nos, i dont think i have schitzophrenia even though i have all the symptoms,my psychosis isnt caused by drugs or alcohol, i am just so confused.

I would tell your doctor about your concerns. Do you feel your treatment is helping you? Have you tried coming off of anti-psychotics?
Thanks for this!

A little unrelated but ever felt like you're not as ill as other people think you are?

I feel that way too and it's frustrating. I don't have any more advice but I hope talking to a doctor helps you and you get the answers you're looking for.
