I often wonder how many people in 'Murica are misdiagnosed because of having to fill out insurance forms to prescribe medication.

That's good news! Yes, flip flops can be easier to clean if they're rubber or plastic, than other types of sandals, so that's good. And your tooth resolution sounds good too. You deserve things getting easier/better.

A post on another thread made me think of it. But I read before that people will get diagnosed with certain conditions just so the insurance companies will cover medication. Like if you don't have a certain condition the insurance companies won't cover their predetermined medication bill.

Am I wrong with that? Or does it vary from state to state?

oh i see. no you are correct. most meds have off label uses but insurance companies won't cover them if they're not for the Dx the med was created for. for example... nuvigil/provigil. it's for narcolepsy, but pdocs prescribe it for low energy. so they basically Dx the person with narcolepsy in order for the insurance company to pay for it..

So there's a bunch of people saying they have certain conditions that they don't actually have! That's pretty ****ing retarded, and by no fault of the patient!

I think it was a study that SP posted about anticholinergic drugs and schizophrenia that linked to my screen name on the forum.

My insurance company won't cover Latuda for schizoaffective so my pnp tried putting it through as schizophrenia. They still won't cover it but it was worth a shot. It is considered off label for sza.

My sister was left home alone yesterday, when I and the rest of the family got home she was sobbing about a man coming up to her and yelling at her to "get out of the house."

Poor girl was sobbing for an hour. Nothing was stolen so it wasn't a burglar, and the alarm was on so no-body else could have gotten in. She already has bad ocd symptoms, so I'm worried it was a hallucination or something. I really hope not, she's too sweet to get schizophrenia.

That must have been pretty scary for her. I hope she's okay!

Called Medicaid this morning, got myself enrolled in a supplemental insurance plan, it takes effect on September 1st.

Been in bed all day, other than to shower and get something to eat, still depressed and agitated, hearing some.voices, but they're not as loud as they are without meds, and paranoid that people can see into my bathroom when the window is open and the curtains are open, and are spying on me. Still feel like I'm living in a computer simulation, and that nothing is real, and no one is real, not even me, and no one can convince me otherwise at this moment in time.

Just plain down in the dumps today, depression (possibly agitated depression) sucks, especially mixed with grief...

I am now almost entirely med free! Off my AP for almost 2weeks successfully. Have a pdoc appointment Wed. Going to rell the truth. Probably done with him? Probably going to be fired as a client anyway! Nervous, but also just want to get it done.

Did you get new juice? I have to order some - i shouldn't wait because my small supply of 12 and 18 mg juice will be gone in another few days. It would be fun to go to the local vape shops and see what they carry, though. (If I can manage the stairs by myself ever again.)
