So since the beginning of May I was told that I was Bipolar. Well I did a clinical psychological test or whatever that was called (800 froacking questions ffs) and today my psychologist that analyzed my answers and said "it's for sure nothing with Bipolar, but you may have something with psychosis" To be honest I am much more calm now that I am closer to a diagnosis and farer that a misdiagnosis. So I just wanted to share this. I am very calm

Good, getting the right diagnosis is the most important step to getting the treatment you need. Hope everything goes well.

I'm glad you are on your way to a dx and are feeling calm about it.

I hate misdiagnoses, it's like non being heard appropriately.

It's good now you are getting a better dx.

I was in a similar situation months ago.

i know what its like to have a misdiagnoses from 2012-2015 I was labeled bpd, depression, GAD well in May 9th 2015 I was diagnosis with Schizophrenia and psychosis. it feels much better now to have the right diagnosis going around for 3 years with the wrong diagnosis was a super stigmatization

I was misdiagnosed for years as major depressive disorder. I only went to the doctor when I felt down and I never mentioned the voices. It's my own fault so I feel extra guilty because of the things that transpired because of my undiagnosed illness.
