I was reading on the internet after I read a post on this forum about maladaptive daydreaming. Reading on the internet might not be the best idea I figured, so I ask you guys.
What is the difference between maladaptive daydreaming and delusion? And are there any other disorders similar to having a "fantasy" world in ones own mind? The world in my mind feels like another dimension.
Thanks in advance,
Greetings

People with schizotypal disorder often daydream a lot and have fantasy worlds as well as people with asperger.

The difference between maladaptive daydreaming and delusion it's the delusion is not voluntary and there is not insight, it's psychosis, while maladaptative daydreaming is voluntary and you know it's not real, it's a bad way to cope, a dissociative way.
