I just thought this episode from a YouTube channel might be useful as an introductory guide for those who are newly suffering psychotic symptoms & are maybe wondering if they have a Shizophreniform illnesss , or for those who know others in that position or just want to learn more:

Schizophrenia & schizoaffective disorder - Mental Heath Videos with Kati Morton

This was recorded whilst she was an intern but she is now a fully licensed therapist.

I have tried five times to kill myself because of my I guess he is now my ex boyfriend. He told me he was deeply in love with me and now almost two years later he filed an injunction for harassment against me because after almost a year in which he just disappeared I emailed him and told him how sad I was and depressed that we weren't together anymore and asked him to please respond to me..he responded all right.. he filed an injunction for harassment against me and I am so bewildered and heart broken...I cannot understand why someone i was so close to and who told both me and my son how in love with me he was would do this to me. we are in our sixties and i firts got on this forum almost a year ago. will he ever come back? He lives alone and does not take meds but hears voices telling him he needs to kill people...The hearing for the injunction was a farce...four emails I sent him because on my end they said they were blocked but i hoped that maybe once they would get through..I did not harass the man...he is so paranoid...how could he tell me that he loves me so very very much and then do this and stay away from me for almost two years? We had connected on a very deep level something i never experienced even having been married twice...please help me..

I recently came across this website that has some really great information. Make sure you check out the TED talk posted there and maybe that psymate app that the presenter talks about towards the end. I did a search in the google app store and found it a free download.

His gift to the world: Daniel Mackler releases all his documentary films free online!

The URL looks funny, please just google the title if the link gets broken. A documentary film on Dr.John Nash was good too. I'm thinking of registered members from PC who passed away when I'm posting this, both were young and one was a bit of an activist, and I'm thinking of 5 stages of grief process right now which may not be for me. I wasn't close to either of them, but they had families who cared about them,,, I believe there's no stigma, prejudice, or discrimination when it comes to personal matters, and even if someone means good, even when someone tries to leverage and process the loss of someone( this is from another MH related death last year...), there are causes that I cannot support.

Please don't mind my comments, it shouldn't concern the reader too much. It's not a brand new documentary, some people can write books and live on, they don't inspire me to be honest. And mindfreedom had some issues between members in the past, they get exhausted too, y'know. Go easy.

i came across the following article in my various wanderings and thought it served as an excellent introduction to individuals who have received a diagnosis of schizophrenia or psychosis and their caregivers.

What i thought was most rewarding about this article was that it allowed individuals to represent their own views and it presented a diverse range of concerns and behaviors -- everything from finding meaning in their experience to working with caregivers to practical considerations.

I've included a few introductory remarks and a brief excerpt from the opening. Those who wish to read the full article should click on the links at the end of the post.
