I'm very curious to hear of what others hallucinate.
Personally, I see animals and hear voices. But they seem very real to me. For example, there are two birds/parrots in my room named Blue and Red who live above my bed in a nest. I have nothing wrong with that, except for the fact Blue is dangerous. He attacks me and tells me to hurt people and says he will peck my eyes out if I don't. I'm not allowed to go to sleep until a certain time because of him, and i'm feeling anxious writing this because I feel him watching me. Red can't speak, and she is pregnant (yay!). I am scared of going into my room a lot, because I can always sense when something is there.

Also, I see Rats. They seem to follow me everywhere and are really mischevious. I wish others could hear/see them too sometimes. I would love to hear your experiences

I see people, animals. Sometimes just shadows that seem to have a life and malignancy of their own. I "feel" presences, like a weight pushing up behind me, or some kind of energy pushing against me. It's very hard for me to describe what this "feeling" is like, but it's just as real as somebody actually standing right up close to me.

I hear voices, sometimes just conversing, quite often I'll hear snatches of people talking about me behind my back, being critical or outright nasty. Other times it can be some random comment or phrase, repeated over and over again. Sometimes there is music. Not like a "song in your head", but actual music.

I smell things. Sometimes I feel something touching me, or pinching me. In the past I've seen insects. One time when I was psychotic I picked maggots out of my breasts. I still have the scars.

I am not allowed to drive, because the level of hallucinations peaked when I was stressed on the road, and I am considered too dangerous as a result.

My paranormal experiences shifted over time. At one stage I only heard music - clear as day, complex orchestral pieces. It was at a stage when I was possibly manic. My appreciation of sights and sounds was also heightened.
That went on for about half a year, and then faded. It was replaced by a very short period where a voice from the empty passenger seat shouted accusingly in my ear while I was driving.
Later I experienced energies around me, saw into people's souls, and music became the force that exposed them to me.
Soon after that time I experienced other beings that I named faeries and the Silver Surfer that tried to lure me into killing myself. The experience was calming and very surreal - like sirens luring sailors onto the rocks. I experienced derealisation possibly compounded by the antipsychotics I was on. The tangible world seemed less real and important to me than the mysterious visions and sounds I was having.
I had sightings of little scurrying creatures zipping around the room, ants walking over pages of a book, and a couple of hours of a ridiculous hairy monster running around my legs while I sat in a chair.
That period passed, and was followed by several months of increasing paranoia and the sense that I was being hunted and spied on by unknown forces. My demise was being channeled through people I had gone to for help - my psychiatrist and a psychologist who diagnosed Schizoaffective disorder. I felt I couldn't trust them. It was a terrifying time.
During that time, I heard voices commenting on what I was doing. Not malicious, just intrusive and distracting. Buzzing sounds from fans or electrical devices became murmering of indistinct whispering voices - not malicious - just annoying and distracting.

Like Mgran experienced with driving, my symptoms tend to be more acute when I'm distressed. One of the most distressing things for me was, ironically, the sense of derealisation I got from antipsychotic drugs. That made driving more dangerous for me than being off the drugs. My sense of distance and timing was impaired, and I lost confidence in my ability to judge situations. So I was determined to find other ways to manage my life without being debilitated by drugs. I believe the drugs helped reduce the buzzing in my head, but had severe side effects that were not acceptable in the longer term.

I'm not aware of any obvious hallucinations or delusions at the moment, and I'm functioning a whole lot better.

I was originally diagnosed maybe about 5 months ago with borderline personality disorder and psychosis. At first my psychosis was considered minor. I would only have slight visual hallucinations, just slight visual hallucinations such as the walls and anything patterned would sometime mesh and like... Melt into each other. Usually only ever when I would be trying to relax, as I have extreme and constant levels of anxiety and depression and suicidal tendancies, I made a habit of keeping constantly excessively busy as when I'm distracted by work it was easier to ignore the overwhelming things i was feeling. I would constantly for years have multiple jobs at once on top of full time schooling. Because I was constantly doing something I would only ever hallucinate when I was showering or about to go to sleep, or just any time I was alone in my head. Then they slowly escalated to seeing face and shadows in mirrors or windows to shadows and human like disfigurations at the end of my bed. I was diagnosed with psychosis after I started seeing a young not following me and evaporating when I looked at him. I was prescribed anti depressants after being hospitalized from a suicide attempt. While on the anti depressants the hallucinations diminished and went back to their more mine state of just walls moving and just strangeness in my visions, but whenever I was off them ( I sometimes go a few days-weeks off my meds because they're expensive and I can't always afford them right away) and my hallucinations grow much worse much quicker the longer I'm off them. The first time it'd only been a few days and I started hearing people speaking to me but they're mouths weren't moving. And it's wasn't just when I was alone anymore. I had an entire conversation with a coworker only to look up to see them either across the room, or looking at me confused. Started back on my anti depressant and back to just the regular stuff. Sometimes it was bugs under my skin. Or just my skin moving. Lately I've been on my longest run not on my medication and I've started seeing skunks in my neighbourhood and rats when I go to work. No one else has seen the skunks. ( I live with multiple other people, and my roomates famiy was even visiting and they all saw nothing, same with the rats, I'll point them out and no one sees them) which has lead me to realize they are hallucinations (I at first thought they where real) it even got to the point where I hallucinated tht the skunk had sprayed me and I could smell it so vividly I became nauseous and started throwing up from the smell but wen I returned home and announced I'd been sprayed, no one could smell a thing, even up close. Anyways. That's the majority of it so far. Yayyyy.

the birds arent real, its a technology that uses your own internal body pressure and internal/external energies to create a sensation that the visual of a bird planted in your eye and brain see, you merely think its real cause its an interactive holographic nueral implant. they tried to make me think aliens and such were out to get me, its all to create lies and insanity, mine wanted me locked up so they could torchure me more

When I was 3, I hallucinated a monkey over my closet door. I saw him repeatedly but no one else could see him.

I still hallucinate animals as a 43 year old adult. I saw a groundhog in the lunchroom at work, a cat in my office, etc.

I hear voices. I have a huge issue with words. There are too many words. If I am someplace like work (because let's face it, if I'm not at work, I'm hiding at home), all the collective noise swirls into my head and then voices start talking to me, telling me I'm crazy, telling me to hurt myself, telling me all kinds of things. I can walk past a radio and have the announcer's voice turn into a threatening one directed only at me. Things like that.

One time I went running upstairs because I was convinced a helicopter had landed on the roof to kidnap my cat. . My husband was home at the time and talked me down. What was the noise? My townhouse neighbor running his garbage disposal.

I also hallucinate bugs a LOT. Crawling on me, crawling on walls, flying toward me like attack beetles. I HATE that. It happens when I get stressed.

I see the sky alternate between pitch black and bright according to things I say if the universe doesn't agree with what I say the whole street goes black,if what I say is correct and the universe agrees it's gets very bright, also the traffic will dissapear if what I say is incorrect and reappear if it's true,it's more like the buzz of the world stops and starts.

I have felt the earth moving as if I was experiencing a very strange earthquake slight dragging shake but I could stop this as well by saying certain things.

I see simple things like words on signs changing from one word into another,I see people, once I saw a whole basketball court fill with spirits,I see mother Mary appirations,
She's the current mother goddess of our time and has replaced or merged all the earlier ones so that's not too surprising.

I see like films playing on the walls but I can never tell what they're about,my bf saw a guy who was stuck in a time loop from the 1900s he helped him.

Audio: sirens, voices, melodies. Most notably, the radio starts communicating just to me directly, songs change lyrics, meaning directed at me.

Visual: rare. Shadowy figures, animals, bugs.

I also smell different stuff, and feel touched or presence of others.

i usually just see things out of the corner of my eye (little things scampering around)
but yesterday i was walking home from work and i saw a raccoon standing on the side of the highway clapping along with the music i was listening to on my ipod
i stared at it until i got close enough to realize it was just a plant waving in the wind but even once i realized that, the raccoon was still there, i had to concentrate really hard to turn it back into a plant

I hear voices that are external but quiet on the whole. When I was acutely psychotic they were quite loud but like they were coming from another room or something. I also thought I could hear knocking & recently I've had a little bit of buzzing in one ear.

I've not had any full visual hallucinations, just changes to perception... like lights are bright, colours are vivid, looks likes things are about to move, or are even wavering a little. Things seem to stand out too & it can seem dreamlike.

Various things really. I have seen gnomes standing in my room on one occasion, morphing of afterimages and faces, energy patterns and stuff, and also audio stuff like other people talk about. I haven't hallucinated that much lately though since I've been around people more. I still get them sometimes though, just not that often lately

I don't hallucinate so much when I'm on meds, but these are some of the things I hallucinate:

I see dots that move like flying bugs or spiders along walls. I see jagged lines that pass through the air and have black/white static ripples following after them that distort things. Often straight lines, like the edges of curtains, will start vibrating quickly. I see movement where there is none, for example glass can look as if it's melting/sinking, the walls can look as if they are moving in weird directions or sinking into the ground, etc. I sometimes see flashes of lights, usually blue, green or red. When it's dark I see creepy things like shadow people in my bed or shadows that creep out from mirrors. If I move my hand in a dark room as if were waving slowly to the wall, I see a shadow hand on the wall moving almost like my hand but then twisting into weird angles or moving faster/slower. It looks... ominous. Shadows and things will appear and disappear, and they often move around freely. The more scared I get, the more scary it gets.

I see patterns too. The sky is sometimes divided into equally large blue squares. When it's dark I see complicated moving black and white patterns all over my visual field and I see black/white energy tentacles that come out from my fingers and connect when I hold my hands close to each other + more.
Sometimes parts of my visual field will break off from the rest or something that I'm looking at will seem to disappear from my visual field for a second. Sometimes I see shadow people.

Sometimes I hear music or hear my phone ringing. Sometimes I smell things that are not there. Once I felt a hand on my shoulder and a cold breath on my neck. Sometimes I hear people walking or whispering in my apartment when I'm all alone. I've seen whirlpool-like structures in the sky. There's probably more stuff too but I can't remember.

I see the beach and the sand. I'm supposed to straighten out the sand but I can't because of the waves and footprints. I also get a feeling when this happens. I feel like a balloon getting filled with sand. All the while the voice is yelling at me.

I have a lot of delusions I deal with. Hallucinations less common.

Today I had to deal with a ****ing car alarm sound following me in the distance all day. Getting slowly louder following me. That was annoying. I hear a lot of faint whispers constantly. Footsteps outside the door like someone has broken in. A lot of times my thoughts will like. Overflow. And I'll start hearing my perceptions or thoughts and they'll kindof flow out. And if it gets out of hand they'll run away with it. When I'm in public I'll hear people call my name. Talk bad things about me. I see silhouettes watching me and waiting. I feel them listening in. I'm in a constant state of misinterpreting objects. If I close my eyes hard and concentrate I can see an alternate reality. A higher plane of existence that exists in the same space we do. I have to remain very still or it goes away.

I hallucinate lots visually, i name my hallucinations, i have cats and birds named skye, keylime, lemon, midnight and rats named 7, sparrows named 3, balls of light named 11, snakes named sid, dragons named 4, spiders named 13 and shadow people, just scribbly shadow people, and demons, and a black figure who lives on my porch. also i hallucinate two main people, a pale ghost girl named tina and a mischevious dude named chris. i call what i see part of the shadow world, where most things are monochrome and shadowy. most of the visual hallucinations are in my periphery, scampering around, but some are directly in my view, such as that one time i saw the grim reaper. some of my hallucinations have began to become violent, telling me to kill myself and telling me to do weird things such as hide in the shower because "i deserve it"
i also hear doors opening, phones ringing, which is quite scary for me. i also deal with delusions all the time about the shadow world and elves etc.

I hallucinate voices. Most of them are injurious/threatening/attacking me. The dominant voice is Heather the imaginary girlfriend. She is vicious and runs me down, insults my friends and family, and tells me the medicines will never get rid of her. She shows up pretty often, every few days, and usually sets off a lot of other voices and ugliness. She is the harbinger of grim things.

Visual hallucinations? Bugs. One day a hallucinatory fruit fly buzzed around my face for like 3 hours, annoying the crap out of me. But every time I would "kill" it, it just disappeared for 10 or 15 seconds and then came back. I don't know what made it go, in the end. I see homeless people pretty often. I catch them out of the corner of my eyes, and when I look at them straight on to see what they're up to they fade away. Almost as often I see cops. Sometimes they are alone, other times in pairs. They like to attack hallucinatory homeless people, but they often draw guns and "shoot" me, too. When I approach them, they fade away.

Because of these visions, I do not drive. I am afraid of seeing cars that are not there, or not seeing trucks that ARE there. Hallucinations go in cycles, in response to changes in medication and stress in my life: the more stressful things are, the more I see things and hear things. I try to stay calm and frosty most of the time, which means I don't get much done. If I do useful things, the hallucinations start to boil. So I have to be very careful and not provoke the symptoms.

And incredible as it sounds, things were WORSE a few years ago. I have been ill for almost 11 years, and there has been a little improvement over time. But given how long it's been, and all the therapies and drugs I've taken in, progress has been minimal, and I am no longer hopeful that I will get rid of these symptoms. "Management" is my watchword, and I expect that to go on the rest of my life.

I don't, I only really did when I was on zoloft and apparently really manic. My main symptom is extreme paranoia which can lead to delusions
