Those ice sculptures are amazing Loial! Thanks for sharing them And, you've really captured them, and the beach, well.

I wish that it was as sunny here! All we've had is rain for days now :/

I've treated myself to a 4 poster bed

I stopped sleeping on the floor because everybody disapproved, but made a sort of cocoon on top of my bed with sheets hung over, but apparently that wasn't socially acceptable either. But 4 poster beds with curtains ARE socially acceptable cocoons, so I managed to find a nice, cheap one online. It'll take nearly a month to be delivered, but I'm excited.

I also bought some fairy lights and a string of fake pearls that I'm going to hang on the inside

Oh, yeah, I also started bullet journalling this new year and I'm having so much fun setting it up and decorating the pages with a combination of stencils, stamps and really thin colouring pens

Thank you, Sometimes!

I was given some money for Christmas that I'm going to put towards getting a proper digital camera, once I've saved up a bit more and researched exactly what I would want/need in a camera.

One thing to consider are the mirrorless interchangable lens cameras, all the benefits of a dslr but with a smaller size to both body and lenses due to the absence of a mirror. That's what I have but its only got an APS sensor size and not the full 35 mm equiv.

Thanks for the advice, Sometimes. My concern with a big bulky camera is that I wouldn't take it out with me everyday. The good thing about my phone camera is that it's always on me, and I never know when I'm going to see something I find interesting, or need to do some mindfulness photography for distraction etc.

That is so adorable! My dog has zero interest in TV, but one of my Mum's cats like nature programmes too.

I don't know if anybody is into the Moon or astronomy, but I found this NASA moon calendar online and thought I'd share it here too. Just need a printer and some light crafting:

Also, my 4 poster bed was delivered today! Am trying to talk my Dad into assembling it with me this weekend - excited!!

"In different hours, a man represents each of several of his ancestors, as if there were seven or eight of us rolled up in each man's skin, — seven or eight ancestors at least, — and they constitute the variety of notes for that new piece of music which his life is."

"Solitude, the safeguard of mediocrity, is to genius the stern friend."

These are quotes from The Conduct of Life (1860) by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Supposedly Nietzsche carried this book with him, neither men were a narcissist.

"There is always a certain meanness in the argument of conservatism, joined with a certain superiority in its fact.
-The Conservative (1842)"

My little happiness ensues like this...
