I get one overnight at my flat a week now. But I'm also having a night with my parents tonight. We're going out into the countryside to hopefully see the Perseids meteor shower. I'm really excited because I've never seen a shooting star before, and I've been told that something magical will happen tonight, so I'm really looking forward to it

Pregnancy is unpredictable. The hormones may make things much worse, much better, or stay the same. There's really no way of knowing for sure until it happens. But with a sz diagnosis, you have a 50:50 chance of postpartum psychosis afterwards due to hormones and sleep deprivation, so it's essential to have a midwife, OB, and pdoc you trust and family support.

To be fair I was asking if I should go off meds if I got pregnant because all the APs are I think class C except latuda which was just very new at the time. So I'm sure her answer reflects that....

So I need to go on a diet. I think stopping drinking will help as I was mostly drinking beer, so no surprise where all that went!

Only thing left to do is for me stop eating junk food. I've got into some bad habits over the past few months. Can't afford take outs all the time either...

I'm sure it's possible to diet on Olanzapine. I mean at my parents I ate a lot less some days so I know it can be done. Plus my weight levelled out a few times earlier on in the treatment but just junk food binges happened and it went up.

It's really putting me down that I only fit 1 pair of trousers I own now (I checked for sure) and some of my shirts are too tight now too.

This weight gain has gone too far and I think I'm mostly to blame. All bad habits, I know the olanzapine has played a role but no-one forced me to drink or eat junk food all the time.

*edit* - it almost wants to make me go off APs... that and the slight sedation plus I'm sure it does effect my motivation a little if even not that much. I'm pretty stable even without meds I'd just need better coping mechanisms.

It is possible to diet on Olanzapine. First couple of months I was on it I couldn't control my appetite but now I'm not as hungry as I used to. And yeah, no junk food allowed

As I recall you are an excellent cook...have you considered something like paleo? still when I was first gaining wait on risperidone I couldn't control myself....I once ate two totally stale cupcakes.....I ate one noticed it was stale but couldn't stop myself from eating another..
It was like this until I hit a plateau..

There is willpower but then there is your brain telling you you'll just die without the second cupcake.

Oh I don't think we have an extended release option here. I hope you can pick it up soon and it helps.

Trazadone gave me 8 migraines in 14 days and I had to stop it. It was awful! And, weirdly, they were all with aura and I'd never had aura before, but now I get auras all the time. Trazadone can be really bad for causing migraines and headaches. And it didn't make me sleep! Doh!

I'm sorry that amitriptyline didn't work for you. That was the best one for me. Lofepramine is a tricyclic AD, like amitriptyline, but it didn't help me sleep. TBH most stuff doesn't. Zopiclone and Zolpidem don't, nor benzos. I've just resigned myself to a lack of sleep, but tbh once I'm up and busy, I don't normally feel too tired. There might be other ADs that they use for a sleep that I haven't mentioned because it's been a while since I looked at med options.

I also think they use magnesium or niacin for sleep as an orthomolecular approach if you're into that sort of thing?

Hope you find something that helps

*Willow*
