Recently the voices that I hear are getting worse and worse. I can't concentrate or get anything done at all. I always end up crying. Ways to cope with hearing voices? Ways to cope with hearing voices? Ways to cope with hearing voices?
They call me names and comment on everything that I do. I can't take it anymore. It's like having a bully living inside my head 24 7. Are there any ways you find helpful to cope with voices? I need advice?

I take the medication Abilify by the way.

Medication should help, maybe you need a different dose or a different med?

How about listening to music, do you have an iPod or something with some songs you enjoy you can listen to. That helps me with the spirits in my house that bother me.

Well I either listen to loud music on my stereo or through my headphones usually depicting where I am and who I am with! Or there is always surfing the net see what's up and what's down and I usually make a wish list on amazon then buy amazon gift cards to have things sent to me!

I can relate to what you say here. Personally for I find keeping myself busy and distracted helps but I know that might be hard if you can't concentrate. I've also somewhat just got used to the voices as it's been years now. I hope you find some relief soon though...

I briefly saw something on the CBS morning show today about treating the voices of schizophrenic using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). I did a search a few minutes ago and found this article.

I've always wanted to try this cause its more mild than ECT. I've had ECT 7 times and it clears the brain fog but damaged my memory. I heard its good for people that don't take well to pills.
