I've been feeling lately that I complain too much on here (and in general maybe), so I'm trying to pay more attention to the good things that happen even with all the bad there is. I thought that this thread could be a place to post about good things that have happened or things we've seen that made us smile.

Here is Maxy enjoying the recent sunshine (2 of my favourite things!):

The lovely little thread of happiness :)

Feel free to join in!

My dad bought me a kimono and tabi socks while he was in Japan! Like a legitimate kimono!
Sadly I don't have an obi (the belt part) so I can't really wear it and share a pic... yet.

Good idea, Willow. I've been complaining too much lately too - not here but in real life and on facebook.

My old dog loves my new dog and vice versa. Now she has someone else to play with her toy with, so I don't have to pick up a dog-saliva-soaked, shredded piece of cloth (that used to be a stuffed chicken) and throw it for her.

Ok, that's not a bright and beautiful thing to share, but it's the best I can do right now.

Good to hear from you Costello! My dog gets on really well with my Mum's dog, thought they can get a bit touchy if the other goes too close to their food at dinner time. They will spend ages play fighting, which sometimes gets a bit noisy if they get carried away. And Max will lick the other one until he's a soggy mess, but my Mum's dog will just paw Max to keep going cos he loves it! Lol Dogs! Do you have any doggy pics? I'd love to see a pic of the new pup, if you can post one.

My dogs even share their food - and drink out of the same water dish at the same time.

Things that make me happy

Books , im not much of a reader of novels , i scan read mostly but i love being surrounded by books, which means i love libraries and book stores. Its comforting , knowledge is such an honourable human endeavour.

The internet , again a powerful resource.

Family

Ironically people , i love listening , for the parts i make out , of course i can only do this when i am separate from the conversation , when im part of the conversation thats where my problems come to the fore.

Sci fi and technology i love gadgets and the imagination people have with how technology and civilisation will progress.

Movies and cinema

Programming , i used to be excellent , what took me 30 mins before my break probably takes me 2 hours now. Ironically computation is based on logic which at one stage i was capable of being very logical! But i still generally enjoy it.

And of course science how could i forget , carl sagan generally makes me smile.

Psychology , im not a huge fan because it can be so easily influenced by bias and prior assumptions , and it can also be informed by psuedo scientific endeavours but its still interesting.
