Good morning/afternoon everyone. How are things going today?

I'm okay. I am just getting the rest of things cleaned up for my friend flying in tomorrow. I'm nervous about going to Tampere though. Some types of travel make me nervous. But oh well, I need to go to the appointment. Also working on overclocking my 8700K again. Back to a stable 4.5GHz. Thinking of maybe going to 4.6 or 4.7GHz. Waiting to hear back from my worker about how to handle taxation and such for applying for freelance work.

What's everyone up to?

My peer worker said here id have to take out 20 percent of what i get paid.

It wont matter tho if im not getting any work. Or if companies are denying hiring me

Well, if I lived in the US, I know the taxes well enough to know what to take out. The problem is in addition to Finnish taxes, I'll have to pay some US taxes, which will make the exact amount tricky. There's some tax treaties between the countries, and that's what I need to find out.

That's cool! I've got friends who are DJ's, I do pretty much everything else with music. That's how I supplement my ssdi.

That's cool. Back when I was in art school for animation and my ex was activity DJing he was working on how to make music like EDM... I told him I would totally make an animated video with any of his music. Sadly it never happened.

I only have like 10 dollars in my bank. A bit of that is my spending issues. But a large part is that i just dont have enough to live off. Plus not enough to have fun while living. By myself, Im in the bracket of low income. In fact, lower than that. More like practically dirt poor.

Yall are probably wondering how did i get a couple of decent hotels if i cant live off what i get. (They werent extravagant) Well i have enough to have fun once a month if im lucky. But i got those hotels through discounts and coupons and gift cards (also got money for Christmas). And the rest i paid for. Ive been living off gift cards and christmas money since December half of the time. My bills take half of my check every month.

The bf has 2 dollars in bank. Part of that is because hes not getting steady work every week. He says he doesnt even have enough to eat. Luckily he lives at home.

lol I only have 1.87 in the bank... enough for a bottle of pop. So much for saving money xD... My goal is to get into some sort of low income housing with help with utilities, apply for food stamps and live on the bus line so I don't have to pay for a car and insurance. There are some cheep LOW income apartments that I can apply for that's in a decent area.

The cheapest low income housing i found is 600 a month or so. And its not in a good area at all. Rampant drug dealing, stabbings, car jackings, plus murders happen a lot. Dallas is real bad about that. The only real safe place to live is really here where i am or in the next town (which is semi-rural still). Basically anywhere thats rural or semi-rural. Like where i live.

If i could make enough or if the bf and i could make enough between the two of us, id go for something like 1000 a month at least so i could be in a safer area.

Man I’m tired. I am done with my work. I’m tempted to just call it a day. I don’t feel like working.
I’m lucky. All my money is fun money. I spend it on the kids mostly. Soon I’ll have a bill for my daughters braces but aside from that it’s all mine. If I keep working the way I am I may take over a household bill. We’ll see

That's weird... the area I'm thinking about going has 2 bedrooms and the person I know that lives there only pays around 150 a month.

Not sure how much you make a month. I have to pay for all bills. I prob dont have to pay for groceries if i didnt want to but that means i have to get cheap food and im looking for healthy food. Gonna have to start cooking. I kinda do already.

Geez....well, i should probably look for section 8 housing. I wonder if im wrong about the prices. I do know that theres only a few in the immediate area that are income restricted. Those are what im talking about. But they are also one bedrooms.
