Gave up on APomised Land by Obama. It was interesting and I wanted to read it but the print was too small and the book too heavy. Later when prices go down I’ll get it on kindle so I can make the print larger. I started one today called the bone canyon. It’s a thriller.

I am currently reading Authentic Happiness by Martin Seligman. My therapist recommended I read it. And this is the second time I've read it. So I am getting more out of it this time. It is super helpful. It also talks about happiness and optimism tests you can take on the website authentichappiness.org. I think it's a great book because it talks about practical ways you can increase your optimism and happiness.

Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir by Chris Packham.
Every minute was magical, every single thing it did was fascinating and everything it didn't do was equally wondrous, and to be sat there, with a Kestrel, a real live Kestrel, my own real live Kestrel on my wrist! I felt like I'd climbed through a hole in heaven's fence.

An introverted, unusual young boy, isolated by his obsessions and a loner at school, Chris Packham was only at home in the fields and woods around his suburban home. But when he stole a young kestrel from its nest, he was about to embark on a friendship that would teach him what it meant to love, and that would change him forever. In his rich, lyrical, and emotionally exposing memoir, Chris brings to life his childhood in the 70s, from his bedroom bursting with fox skulls, birds' eggs, and sweaty jam jars, to his feral adventures. But pervading his story is the search for freedom, meaning, and acceptance in a world that didn’t understand him.

Beautifully wrought, this coming-of-age memoir will be unlike any you’ve ever read.

Sophocles' Ajax. 10/10 stars, I recommend it to my fellow friends here because of our shared struggle that brings us here.
I read Samuel book 1 in the bible, tells the story of David nd Goliath. It was okay. My friend I reconnected with wants me to read the other book of Samuel. But I'm on the sidelines.
I read Dante's Inferno and Purgatorio. Purgatorio was the better read, better for the soul.
BB, if you ever have a couple months, I recommend the Divine comedy. TO do it I also recommend getting two copies because it's not worth going back in forth to look at the end notes every page. Best to have the end notes open all the time. It's catholicism so you might reallly enjoy it.
Thanks for this!

I had a paperback copy of Dante's inferno awhile back but I lost it when I moved, I meant to read the whole Divine comedy but haven't gotten around to it yet but maybe I'll buy two copies for my birthday next month
