After 9 years of trying out almost all available antipsychotics for paranoia, nothing worked. I need something to calm me down, not making me feel bothered and only benzos do that. But my pdoc insist that i take APs or else i will end up warded, like as if to threaten me or something, yet i barely feel any difference with or without it. My pdoc obviously doesnt listen to me at all. There is no APs that worked. I wonder is there any alternatives? Or am I treatment resistant.

List of APs tried

1)Stelazine
2)Risperidone
3)Sulpiride
4)Amisulpride
5)Asenapine
6)Olanzapine
7)Seroquel
8)Invega
9)Abilify
10)Chlopromazine
11)Haloperidol

Clozapine is one that comes to mind when all else doesn't work they try it with good results.

Thats what i was initially thinking, since i never tried it before. What kind of benefits should i expect from Clozapine? I have no hallucinations, but severe social and generalized anxiety with some of it caused by deep rooted paranoid thoughts and self referential tendencies.

I don't know if Clozapine will work for you, but it's worth a shot
I tried most of the APs and nothing worked until I started clozapine... It helped mostly with my "hallucinations" and therefore helped my "paranoia" and "delusions" although when I am under severe stress ,symptoms come back

For the most part, as long as I do what I can to stay stress free, it works pretty well
Thanks for this!

Abilify helps me, but sometimes adding a drug for mood (in my case, Lamictal) helps the antipsychotic work better on all sorts of "symptoms"/problems. I think Trileptal, tegretol, and depakote are used for that, too.

benzodiazepines? nobody wants to be an addict, but...back when I took Klonopin (clonazepam), it helped...until it stopped working. that doesn't happen to everyone, though. tapers/stopping treatment...rough. miserable, even. but some people stay on Klonopin, xanax, ativan, valium, whatever for years, even decades.

hope things get better for you.
Thanks for this!
