Pdoc can be like night and day even if they’re good. It’s rough to change...I wish they wouldn’t move around so much.

Oh that's sad. I didn't like when I had to change PDOCs because the PDOC moved, but actually I ended up with a better one. I hope you end up with a good one! HUGS Kit

Sorry to hear that Loial... the pdocs at the place i do my mental health stuff at, they usually find me another pdoc and i don't have to search myself. but i agree with SP it sucks. i went from a pdoc that is willing to try many meds to a pdoc that wants to give me an obsessive amount of mg of a meds that just doesn't work and kept saying "you where stabilized at the hospital with this med how about we just increase the dosage"

My current pdoc is risk averse and will try nothing new, old pdoc was like sure let’s try a trial off meds....

That's terrible that she did nothing to help you and just had you continue what you were taking. I think some doctors are not empathetic at all. Of course some are. But I think if they had to live a month in my shoes they might be different. I have a super good PDOC now. I love him. Kit

Not sure why but indian (from india) doctors in my area tend to be ****** pdocs. not sure if it's a cultural difference or just don't care but from my experience they just wasn't sympathetic.

I've been seeing mine for 3 years. She's great. Had been seeing different pdocs over the past 10 years, I only had one who was really bad. I was in a psych hospital at 14 for attempting
Possible trigger:
The doctor I had was a jerk, he sat there, didn't speak, just stared and said "hmm" and wrote stuff down. It wasn't a language problem, he was a white guy in his 60's I think. I don't think he even ever introduced himself, he was really arrogant. It was a nightmare, I had to see him every day and I was in that place for 30 days. After 2 weeks of being on meds I was doing significantly better, so by the 3rd and 4th week I was wondering why I wasn't getting discharged yet, and found out he was trying to transfer me over to a residential psychiatric hospital in Louisville for a year. I have no clue why, he never even explained it, I found out from a social worker. Previous to that I had never been in any psych wards or anything.

Anyway, he ended up discharging me on the very last day. When my mom came to pick me up he didn't look at her or answer any of her questions. He worked there at the place I was, and at the residential psych hospital, and has a private practice. I've looked up reviews on him years later and have seen a couple good reviews but there were several who wrote of similar issues/experiences with him.

My pdoc and my T are Indian....pdoc is good for a pdoc but she’s by the numbers.....T is actually incredibly good. I guess I wasn’t looking for sympathy though just direction.

yikes. when i went to the hospital for almost a month the doctor kept trying med after med. Haldol didn't seem to be working and she was like "lets try abilify" i was like "no i tried it before it didn't work". she basically said "if you're not going to try abilify there's nothing else i can do for you." i just like **** it i'll just take the haldol and left after a month trying different meds. i just wanted out. so i went with it

My Mom just called me. She said my Dad's colonoscopy looked good. No sign of cancer or anything else. I'm glad they didn't find any tumors this time. Last time he had to have surgery and they took out a bunch of stuff. I'm so relieved. Kit

I haven't been craving coffee at all lately. It's really strange. I normally drink it non stop. I feel sick when I drink it the past couple days

I'm craving dark chocolate since someone else mentioned it on another forum. And it's probably also hormonal. Lovely. Kit
