College football is a big part of my happiness every year. Is anyone else sad about the likelihood of us not having any sports this fall?

Oh I'm ecstatic by the thought of no sports. Can't stand the money wasted on dumb sports while debate and chess get no coverage. USA needs more debate teams and less violence.

Basketball isn't really a particularly violent sport...

No, neither is golf but sports takes away from smarter thin kings skills and USA has ended up worse off for its pursuit of sports. They cut the arts and give money to football, burns me up. It has been proven time and time again that music and the arts build better balanced smarter people but instead of providing art, music and debate school cut funding that would impact thousands and funnel money towards a few muscle bond talents at the expense of a greater good. Forgive me but this is a subject that winds me up, just a few can ever make it into that world, there is so much potential brain power that goes un rewarded. Just think of the potential breakthroughs that could happen if kids were rewarded for thinking instead of exhibitionism. We might even have a real president instead of the egotistical guy we now have. I blame sports. I'm probably wrong but it's way too overrated

Today I watched a golf tournament and it was pretty good, my favorite sports to watch are swimming, tennis, golf, track and occasionally basketball, baseball and football. So I’m happy that a sport I like to watch is on, golf. Football, I can take or leave it.

Oh, I didn't know they were playing golf again. I guess they can socially distance, though, so, maybe that is okay. Yeah, I like basketball, soccer, gymnastics, ice skating, track, and college football. Mostly, NBA basketball and college football. They say the NBA is starting on July 31, but it is in Orlando and Florida COVID is out of control, so, I bet they cancel it before ti starts.

Yes, the arts and sciences are woefully underfunded in the US. I personally became much happier in high school after I quit all sports and focused on my guitar and school. All my sports friends were angry because I was a pretty good athlete, but it was a much better situation for me. Now, I am a writer, mostly novels, and it gives me much enjoyment. But I do still enjoy watching sports. Sorry.

Don't be sorry. Sports have their place, just to my thinking sports should not be number 1. I'm old and when I was in school music was mandatory, everyone learned an instrument. Now those same schools no longer do that and only the kids who's parents can afford it get music. I'm legally deaf have been since I was 3 but I had to learn to play and learn to read music I totally believe it enhanced my life. I'm sad that now the arts are so restricted. On the other hand my high school now serves 34 native other languages kids in my day there was only English and three foreign languages to choose from as a second or thrird language.
