I dont think i really have this or bipolar. I do struggle with anxiety and some depression. I havent heard things or seen things or been scared of satan and demons attacking me like earlier this year so maybe it was all in my head? maybe i made it up? somehow??

Dear HALLIEBETH87,

I don't know much about the things you mentioned so I cannot really offer an educated opinion. I am sorry that you are having trouble reaching clarity about what you mentioned. That must be distressing. I feel bad that I don't have anything to offer you, but sadly I am at a loss for ideas. I hope everything works out in the long run! You are a very heroic person to be dealing with these things!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

I don’t know how to put this gently but I had one episode that lasted one month of psychosis and I’m considered to have lifelong bipolar and require meds. Bipolar is defined by one manic episode, you don’t need anything else....you might be between cycles.

Are you still on your meds? Maybe your meds are working right now.

I didn't believe it was real at first either. I kept a journal, some of the things in there were way off. One day I asked my therapist if his thoughts talked to him and that's when I knew. It's okay not to be aware, I'm still constantly waking up to my illness or certain truths about reality. learn mindfulness, keep a journal and simply be open to to acceptance. This is all part of the process and you are going to be okay. I have this illness and my life is okay. I have an apartment, a boyfriend, and I make art. I feel content.

So.....Schizoaffective bipolar type is like having bipolar disorder with psychosis in between. Sometimes now that i am medicated and feel better i look back and wonder if it happened the way I remember. But the truth, at least for me, is that if the medications that i now take make me feel better and be better then YES. I have had many episodes of mania but I believe i am actually Schizoaffective.

I told my pdoc I’m scared when I had ect that they put something in my brain. He said it’s not true. I had two antipsychotics to make this stuff go away.
