Have you ever tried lamictal or another traditional mood stabilizer? Thy might add something like that but really a standard MD will be at a loss with bp1....supposedly the average bp1 patient is on six different meds so it takes a pdoc to figure it out but they should get you in much sooner. __________________ Hugs! |

Meant to add that recent studies suggest that ssris don’t help in bipolar even with a mood stabilizer. Still almost everyone is one them because what else are you going to do to treat th depression. __________________ Hugs! |

I hate to see the psychiatrist but I just hate being like this and wish I could have something done RIGHT NOW. I'm getting tired by this. My doctor put in a rush request for the psychiatrist but with the health system it's still not 'next day service'. |

I was on the Lexapro really to help my social anxiety that was causing some dissociation. It was a risk, but it was helping my anxiety along with talking with my psychologist.

I see...for me Abilify actually helps with the social anxiety quite a bit....it hits so many targets for me.

I'm actually not sleeping too badly. Maybe a little less than usual and waking up a little more, but it's not like I'm staying awake for days or anything. I think the meds are helping with that part.

OK that’s good. I have a question though about the focus because I feel like that’s a major factor that’s bothering you. Did th focus issue start with the mania or the increase in Abilify? For me th Abilify so far as I can tell gives me adhd. Thus th fish oil which increases dopamine in the pfc helps with focus. It’s a weird balance but f I go lower on meds I can become psychotic so...

My doctor will probably just up my Abilify again tomorrow which disappoints me. I wish we could just try another medication already. But I get it, he feels over his head and wants the psychiatrist to make the decision what to give me and how much. I just hate waiting for things.

Ok I think finding reason stays up an extra like day until night of the next evening when she wants to reset her sleep. You should talk to her about it.
