How do you deal with severe lack of motivation?

What advice would you give to someone lacking in motivation?

Break tasks in to manageable chunks. ...
Write down each positive thing you experience throughout the day. ...
Give yourself credit for the small things you do. ...
Have some 'me time' ...
Be gentle with yourself. ...
Try to be present. ...
Attend helpful events. ...
Ask for help.

I’ve been able to actually focus on reading today. I’ve read over 100 pages so far and I’m not finished yet.

Had a McDouble, fries , and a Coke for dinner. It was really good.

I think I’m going to start having my morning coffees outside in the courtyard area since it’s fall now and nice and cool.

I feel sooo much better with a few meds etc. I talked to my family for half an hour non stop. I'm ok.. my cognition is there..

I'm always afraid to ask for help because I think that no one can fix me but ill talk to my psychiatrist on the 1st of November and things will be ok..

I wish I was in this state forever.

Glad you are feeling better! I actually talked to my family last night as well when I was feeling pretty lonely and it helped a lot.

Just put some homemade pumpkin bread in the oven to bake. My kitchen is a wreck now, the only thing that sucks about baking

I'm glad I bought those loaf pans, it's fun making dessert breads

This morning there was no smoking and we were on lockdown because a staff member had covid, but then they let us go out to smoke. I pray they don't put us in lockdown. We can't maintain our basic freedom of movement when they make us stay in our rooms for two weeks or more.

No, I'm still having dissociating/panic. Thank you though, I hope you don't have to go on lockdown again
