I would like to share this with others who have had struggles with psychosis: Since being put on Abilify, my paranoia and hallucinations have almost stopped. So much better. I also take Prozac and Buspar, but the Abilify has made a world of difference. 10 mg. daily. Thanks.

I was prescribed Abilify by a rather stubborn provider and experienced nothing but insomnia and nervousness. My insomnia lasted until I finally dc'd Abilify myself and asked for another psychiatrist. I have inquired of my current psychiatrist as to why I experienced nothing but negative effects and other Px's with the same Dx experienced no negative effects as with your case?

Excellent results--except gained 50 lbs. in 8 years on being on Abilify & now have numerous physical health problems due to that. Fair trade off?? Low self esteem & marital problems due to weight gain vs. paranoia in marriage previous to Abilify?? Very difficult to get a perfect solution, isn't it?--Suzy

I'll second that. I had one side effect myself, dry red skin on my face. No biggie.
