He's right.. but there isn't anything he can help with.. it angers me.. to no end.. when he "plays" the alter game..

saying.. there's always an alter that will come up with somehting..

ahhhhhhhhhh.. for you non DID people - That is the biggest insult.. a T can give a client...

the alter game..

I'm so sorry he told you that.

(((hugs))) I know for sure your T didn't mean it to be an insult. I'm sorry that he doesn't realize how it feels though, for you to hear that.

But explain more about what you said... there isn't anything he can help you with? because...? there's always an alter that counters therapy???

or was he saying if you don't work in therapy, another (alter) will?

Let's post about this some more, ok? Only if you feel comfortable with it though.

sometimes therapy feels so counter-productive. my new T said to me last week "I'm trying to figure out how to help you". And the voice in my head answered silently "Ah, but you see, there is nothing to be done - you can't help me, it's just not possible". It always feels like 2 steps backwards, and sometimes one step forwards. Free... maybe you feel like this, too, but I feel that I want help - I desperately want it. And there's nothing that can be done at the same time.
It is so frustrating. The T wants to know how to help - H*** if I knew that, I wouldn't be there, I could just do it myself.
