I was recently diagnosed as schizophrenic... Among all the questions flooding my mind is this concept of dissociation. I know I will sound like an idiot, but curently I'm not on meds or seeing a doc and I was wondering... Is "losing time" or "getting confused" a form of dissociation in SZ? Sometimes when I get stressed or don't take meds I can't account for large amounts of time. Close friends claim I just "zone out." Any advice or opinion would be of great help.

dissaciation is when you arent in yourself. when you cant see from your prospective. when you dont feel like your in your body. i dissacociate for hours. sometimes i dont even know if im really here. i sometimes think i am permently gone from my body. im scared to go back. i have panic attacks when i do go back. its kind of hard to explaine. but its like when lets say, your making pasta, cause i just made pasta. you made pasta, your watching yourself make pasta, not from your bodys point of view, like um your moving and all but your gone. your in the clouds. your aware, but up in the clouds.
