Is this the same thing as schizophrenia? What are some things someone would do if they had this? I'm trying to find out what is wrong with a family member. If I can get some clues to what is wrong I might be able to get them some help. I don't know if they are even really suffering. But I am lol. Thanks for your help.

It like a mild form of schizophrenia where you're walking on a fence that separates reality (The right side) from non-reality (The left side) and if you fall off, you have to hold on but it's easier than schizophrenia to climb back on and keep walking while being bombarded with the left.

The main difference that I've been able to gather is someone with SPD usually knows their ideas are odd so they don't lose touch with reality completely. They may have transient bouts of psychosis, though. I love how ZehR describes it.

In a way, I think that their basically just different ways of dancing on the edge of insanity. With full on schizophrenia though, it's just that you aren't even dancing on the edge so much as your just living the madness every day. It's different, but similar in a way
