Ok so last week, I had to take care of a robotic baby that I named Vanessa. This is a health project at my school and it counts for half my grade this semester... it is called "Baby think it over" I had to take it home two nights. She was wicked fussy and woke me up at 2am the first night and 2:30 the second. The necks of the dolls are very sensitive. i actually did snap it a few times and I felt horrible. I may be getting the grade for the project back tommorow, i am nervous about how i did. Hopefully I did alright.

Have any of you expirenced the baby think it over project?

When I was in high school I took a class that had this same project as half of the grade. One of these babies was called the crack baby it was supposed to represent a baby born to a mother that had taken drugs while pregnant. Wouldn't you know it when the babies were handed out I got the crack baby which was way grouchier then the other babies.
To make a really long story short, I had to hire a babysitter while I worked and that babysitter(my mother) neglected the baby. I was so upset that when I turned the baby back in to the teacher I dropped the class so I still to this day have no clue what grade I got on the project.
I hope you grade turns out well, good luck.

I have seen girls on the city buses with these rocotic babies. I think the girl with the baby seemed just fine. But you know sometimes I have seen young fathers with their real children and it is down right frightening. Some are really good though.

I think my school does this too. I'm a freshman, so we haven't done it yet. It sounds like fun, but a lot of work

it is fun at times, but it can be a bit difficult The hardest part for me was waking up in the middle of the night and have to take care of the baby. Also the necks are really sensitive so you always have to be careul or else the head will snap. If you snap the head, the baby wails and you have to rock it for a minute. Also there is a key that you always have to stick in the baby(unless you mishandled it or it is fussy) As I am writing this, I have to answer thought questions that I have to put in my baby project report.

We had to do that in 8th grade, the baby doll wasn't that sensitive, but it cried about every 2-3 hours.[The teacher 'accidentally' mis-set it.] It was a bad experience, only because at the time I had a loft bed and had to climb down a ladder every time the thing cried.

I had to do it!

First time I brought it home, the battery died. So it was eerily quiet and I wasn't sure why and hoped I hadn't broken it. Turns out nope, battery just died. (Phew!)

Second time, I took it home for twice the length of time because I wanted the real experience of it all. I should say this was all in my Parenting class in highschool.

The baby was... fussy. It had a key in its back you had to turn and hold for anywhere from 5 minutes to 30! If you didn't get to the baby soon enough, it would just make the next session of crying even longer! They also attached the key for the baby to your wrist so it couldn't come off, so you couldn't give responsibility for baby to someone else.

I slept in the basement the entire weekend. Mostly so I didnt wake up the rest of the family. It wasn't too bad though, but I was glad I wasn't thinking of children at the time! Perhaps now would be different since I'm a lot older.

For the mark on the assignment, I did pretty well I believe. I managed to get an A overall in the class, and the baby WAS a major part of the grade.

I opted for a written assignment. I had to interview teen parents and write about them, heh. I saw what the other kids went through so... yeah I really didn't want to do that. I helped raise my younger siblings though! Does that count? I've been taking care of my baby niece quite a bit, so I like to think I have more than enough experience. If your school's babies were anything like my school's babies, you are brave, haha! They were wicked bad. The teacher put them on the worst setting possible. I wish you the best of luck on your grade!
