Well, yesterday I had my last day of placement. Today I had my supervisor grade my performance at placement, and he gave me a great review. I have completed all of my hours, done and passed all of my classes of my program up until this point...

Now I have one final self-reflection assignment to present tomorrow at college and get a grade for that and I'm DONE!

But I don't get to walk across a stage until October. D'OH!

Oh well. Yay me! Yay finished! Now to find a job...

That might help. I just finished my social service worker (SSW) diploma.

Social worker is a lot more education, so no. But commonly thought of as the same thing and in my province, we're in the same college/licensing board. (Social workers typically have their Masters degree in social work, have a higher pay bracket and can call themselves therapists. I can call myself a counsellor)

I did seven years of university. Bachelors of psychology and half a degree in religion.

Yeah, I'd assume that would be part of the thing in October

Christina,
How did your last presentation go? I would imagine you don't have the grade yet but how did that feel to turn your last assignment in?

It went well enough I think. It was mostly a fluff assignment on personal growth/development. I made a slide show but mostly just talked for 3-6 minutes which was the length we were requested to stick to.

I'm happy to be finished, but it feels weird not thinking about school...

Christina,
I think the weirdest thing for me when I graduated from undergrad and went to have a job was that I had some free time in the evening and on weekend. While I still had things like chores around the house and grocery shopping, I had more free time than I did while I was in school. I had no idea what to do with myself since I didn't have homework. It took time to adjust and figure out how to fill up my time. Good luck with your job search.
Thanks for this!

hey, congratulations i'm kind of in the same boat with a sort of graduation so can relate a bit. it's kind of a mix of woohoo and omg (towards what's next). let yourself have a bit of a rest and make sure you do something special to reward yourself. it is a fantastic achievement! way to go
