If you can offer more information about the requirements of your thesis, it would help. What about math anxiety? Or test taking anxiety? Or the readjustment process a returning vet undergoes? Or insomnia?

Not sure if this has already been researched, but how about the percentage of college students at your university that have ADHD ( or test anxiety, depression) etc. You could also study majors, whether they are successful in first attempts, age, etc. You might get some cooperation from the counseling service or admissions if you promise to maintain confidentiality.

Good luck, slow

Is it human subjects research where you have to go through the IRB, or is it just library research? If the latter, how about the effects of marriage and/or divorce on the health of the partners (or children)? I have done some reading in this and found a lot of material.

I've been following the New York revamping of Medicaid, how that might impact mental health services and how best to provide better mental health services at less cost. There are lots of issues and problems implied; one could take one of those to explore and come up with a thesis one liked?

http://www.health.state.ny.us/health...lth_reform.htm

They have recent "meeting materials" that are interesting, check out the presentation on "Serious Mental Illness". The Presenter's ideas for how to service those in New York with serious problems (and why hasn't it been done that way in the past if they're such good/correct ideas?) got me thinking about ideas of my own and whether I agreed with the experts or not, etc. Or, you could just do a whole "critique" of how they're doing the work, what's good, what's bad, what you would change? It's very timely and important.
