Here is a link to their FB page describing the employees "walking off" the job (a.k.a. striking) bc they have been "working on" a contract settlement for over a year. Faculty are already forced into furlough days and students are losing their financial aid.

To top it off, here is a link showing how SIU employees went thru and deleted everyone's comment son their FB page. Sure some of them were profane and should have been deleted. But even the ones that said "please settle" - they got rid of those, too.

I will be a saluki for life but I am ashamed to be associated with this university right now.

Hmmm. I've never heard of such a thing! In fact, I don't even know what to make of it all! I can understand your disappointment, though....
