I have a course which will start in January. I have been told that they expect me to have a work placement within 3 months. This work placement is real work and I will be paid. But I worry I won't get one. I haven't got experience or anything really. But it's a course and work related. I wish the tutor could do it for me but she did tell me, she will help me. I just worry, worry and worry. It's only about a month away. Even if someone puts the word "work" or "job", it triggers bad feelings for me. I wish I would stop worrying. I hate feeling like this.

Sorry its so triggering for you...
It might be helpful to convert some of the worry into research/preparation...review your resume (or start one), research interviewing techniques, take an inventory of skills you would like to improve and research them online, etc... Good luck!

I'm emailing the lady who is in control of the course. I am going to ask her whether I will get a work placement for sure. I may be annoying but I can't just be worrying about it all the time. I hope she replies back with something positive.

If you are taking the course, they will get you a work placement or you can get your own (which is a lot more fun!). Concentrate on the learning instead of on the job and it might feel easier. Pretend it is part of the course (it is) and look forward to doing the course work (written goals you decide on and then reports each week, generally, on how you are doing toward meeting your goals you have set yourself).
