Has anyone else noticed how fast the semester has gone?? I can't beleive I have two weeks to prepare, study, and write 3 papers. One due on Wendesday. I'm so swamped, yet I may have to give up a day of studying... YIKES!!! I'm a little scared that I wont have enough time, but I must have exercise.... but I need to study... Can I just have a few more days to get things done? PLEASE!!!

Now that the venting is done... back to studying... in the next few minutes... must study... must write papers... must not panic.... Oh wait panic, I've already done that... Why can't Thanksgiving be longer??

At least realized it now, and not next week or even the following.
It has flown by for me as well but not in a good way; after getting sick, I have been behind all semester so to see an end is astonishing. As you mention, lots to do between now and then. One thing at time, and it will all get done. Meanwhile, my break's now over and I have to get back to studying myself, test tomorrow. Good luck writing, preparing, and on your finals, Puzzclar!

The hard part is getting myself to study at home. I just can't study there. I have some math problems to do for my job, but I don't have the time/can't make the time to do so.

And I'm almost afraid to start working on the final project for my Applied Techniques class, I choose to work on improving safety plans for those who are suicidal. Honestly, It's a very hard topic, and one that sometimes I don't' want to actually start the research, and it's due in ONE WEEK. Ya, I'm freaking out again. I really wish I could talk to a certain person, but I'm also afraid to start talking. It's one thing after another.

I just had to vent. okay maybe a bit more.

I have this statistic problem and I don't know what thing to do.... and it's about 2-3 pages, nothing huge to right but to come up with a hypotheses, that's the hard part. Right now I don't really know what to do on it, but I did get part of my work done, but I'm still stressed, and I can feel others' stress, and that's the part I hate the most.

Is there a library, coffee shop, or study room you could go to to try to work instead of home?

When I can't get started on a project, I'll make a deal with myself to commit to 10 minutes and no more, then come back to it for 10-15 minutes more. If after that period I can go longer, that's fine but break at most 25 minutes as sort of a reward and if keep doing it, it will start to come together. I find starting is the hardest thing.

You sound like you are on top of everything that needs to get done which is half the battle. Sometimes I will even make a checklist to get it out of my head, can focus better on the task at hand by not focusing on what yet there is to do, and then there is some sense of accomplishment to mark it off as I go.

Hang in there.

I honestly don't know where the semester went, it seems like it flew by so fast. I have two weeks left and still have several research papers to write and a couple of presentations to do. Plus there's finals to study for. It's getting down to the wire. I have my interview for my first field placement on Monday so I'm hoping that goes well. I have to do 120 hours of practice in January and I'm planning on doing it at a local nursing home with the social services department.

Why is it that instructors pile on things in the last week before finals, We aren't super heroes. How Can I get all this done? oh yea, just get working on it. that's the simple fact. at the same time, though, it's really hard.

I know, it seems like the first half of the semester everything's easy and not much homework, but the second half there's so many projects due it's so crazy.
