I missed almost all of last week, playing sick. I was just too depressed to go to school. I didn't want to be anywhere but home. My wife also skipped, but i just pretended like nothing was wrong. Now I am trying to make up for my missed days, and all I can think of is still wanting to just stay home and stay in bed with the curtains closed, and sleep....But I already missed too much and this is just my 1st term in college.

tbh I hated my first term too, I just try to think about what completing college will do for me later in life, I can get a good job, live comfortably and all that.
Try to focus on the positives and it gets easier, I still do what you did and take days off now and then because I don't want to go in, but it'll lead you down a bad path of falling behind.
Just stay thinking positive.

Are you receiving treatment? (therapy and medical support)

It is possible to go to school now, It's hard to live with depression and go to school. I am half way done, and I've gone through two hospital admissions, and am doing well even with missing classes for a week. It's possible, don't give up hope.
Thanks for this!

Thank you both very much.. N no I am not receiving any type of assistance. I do not have any insurance, and can't afford to pay for treatment....It took me a week to catch up for 3 missed days..
Thanks for this!

agree with puzzclar, it takes a while to catch up, unfortunately on your own you don't have the luxury of a lecturer explaining it like they do in class.
