So for the past month the voices have been pretty bad. I've also been very worried that I have some connection to Satan. (I know that it cant be real) Its made it hard for me to focus on school work which sucks. My therapist thinks it's time for me to switch my meds, but I'm worried that it will make things worse. What sucks is that I go to class and look like I'm fine but I'm focused on whats going on in side my head. I've been unable to get a hold of my med prescriber because she only works two days a week at a very busy clinic. what should I do? Do you think it is a good idea to tell my teachers what is going on?

Do your teachers know that you have MI? I don't think it's necessary for them to know any specifics - in fact I don't think it would be wise to go into detail - but letting them know that you are going through some things will likely help.

Try and keep yourself with it and stable. I'm not saying don't listen to what's going on in your head, but keep in mind what is reality, and what you can't quite be sure about, and focus on reality.

Maybe switching meds is a good thing? Warn your teachers that you are going to be taking new meds (again, they don't need to know what for) and say you're still going to try very hard but you just want them to know.

What sort of help does your school offer? A lot of schools offer a lot of support for people with MI and LD's. Try and check that out so you can get some internal support if things go bad. Not saying they will by any means, but it's good to have some back up just in case.

Try your best to stay focused. Even when it seems dumb and there's no point, try and keep doing your normal routine. Something I've learned to do is trust myself in that regard - if I was saying that an event happened in a particular way a month ago, then I will tell that story the same way now, because even though I don't remember the event, I remember telling it that way and it can't have changed. I guess for you that might translate to keep going through the routine that you were in before, because when your out of this recent phase of stronger voices, and things settle down again, it'll be easier to slip back to a normal and stable life, and you will have minimal damage.

That's just my own experience and what I try and do. Please keep in mind that I don't know you, and that your T or a doctor might suggest something different. All I can give you is what I think I would do in your situation.

Best of luck, and I hope that helps. Stay safe.
