hi.

i am wondering if anyone on here have taken online classes, and also if they can suggest any only websites where i could perhaps find an online class?

for years i've been trying to do it at a proper colledge, but because of my mental issues it never ends up that successfull- and i either eventually get taken out, or i can't take in what's being said (i've memory issues)

and, their's also the fact that 90 percent of the time i get put on a course far too easy, or something i don't even want to do.

so i'm looking for an online class that has to deal with netwroking, learning about computer parts and what they do, about coding, etc etc etc.

anyone have suggestions.

thanks

i take online class but from my local community college because i wasnt academically ready for a university. im taking things slow and i find it to be cheaper than a trade school that offers the exact same courses.

http://www.learninglolly.com/

Might this be something you'd be interested in? Looks like they send you CDs and DVDs and you complete the training programs at your own pace.

http://gatlininternational.co.uk/

Gatlin gives you 6 months to complete courses, from what I understand. I don't think LearningLolly has a time limit. You'll have to pay for both of them (looks like a minimum of 400 euros for Gatlin).

http://www.e-learningcenter.com/index.htm

They have some free courses as well as paid.

http://techiwarehouse.com/

Another site.

If you want certification, or something that could count as a course at a college, you might want to go the paid route. If you are more interested in learning for the sake of it, there are plenty more free sites: just type "free computer courses", for instance, in your favourite search engine.
Thanks for this!

Like newtus, I took online courses from the local university. You would have to pay tuition like a class going student most likely. You might want to check into the closest college or university to you.

try searching for "open courseware"

UC Berkely has some webcasts you can check out, so does MIT.

I live in Phoenix and chose Grand Canyon University for my online classes. I had heard that it was a good school and found that I really like the way they treat their students. They are at http://www.gcu.edu.

Not sure about students outside the US but if you go to the website, there's a phone number you can call and ask. The cost is higher than average because it's a private university (not state subsidized).

I did take a couple of online classes, but they were part of the entire program which required live class attendance as well. I really liked the online classes. I hope you find something beneficial and challenging!

Shattered, your Open U. is great for online classes and very affordable, will enable you to get a job where you are, etc.: http://www3.open.ac.uk/study/undergr...d-it/index.htm
