Well, yesterday I found out I was rank 2 out of 257 kids! (i'm in high school by the way). But..i'm a bit saddened by the whole thing as well. My OCD is giving me issues now about maintaining that rank.
For example, I have an essay due next week, and my teacher is giving us all week in class to work on it...bad news is that I feel compelled to get it done right now because my friend, (also in the same class), is working on the essay as I type this. It's like I can't let my self vegetate for a little bit and cool off from the weekend. My OCD keeps saying "Get the essay done stupid" My question to you guys is..How/ What can I do to stop this thinking...I just want to be able to relax or once in my life.... ![]() |

Wow! Congratulations! I suggest you just try to continue what you've been doing in the past. That's evidently worked! But, if you can't, just do a rough draft and then have some fun!

the pressure, sometimes I try to make it like it's not a big deal, but it's important to feel pride in what you have accomplished. I'm sure what you're feeling is just temporary, one of my best friends was salutatorian in high school, it followed her to MA to Harvard some people are just high achievers.
