Hi! Well, it sounds as if English would be a good major for you. However, that said, keep in mind that that might not be a good option given today's economy.

There are inventories available that can help students with this decision. I suggest you meet with a college counselor and talk to him/her about this choice.

Agree. Maybe they teach spelling there too, but these days, who knows?

there is an interdisciplinary studies program at a local college here, for people who want to take courses that would help them take a degree something like General Studies, of which i myself was taking, and never finished although, for personal reasons, but I'm not really sure what you could do with it, you should talk to your counselor and see what they could do about the General Studies major.

It's good that you know what you love so that you don't end up switching majors in your junior year (like I'm about to do). If you have a natural flair for writing and poetry then by all means take Creative Writing or English / English Literature. Good luck

You might look into technical writing; minor in another, pseudo-scientific type subject (computers :-) that would need handbooks, textbooks, etc.

Technical Writers : Occupational Outlook Handbook : U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

This gives an idea of how you might want to structure it: Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing-Department of English - Carnegie Mellon University
