Hi,
I've applied for a course starting in September this year and I'm REALLY nervous about it. Questions like, 'What if I fail...' 'What if I can't do the work?...' Are chasing themselves around my head. I guess the main one being, 'Is my work good enough to get accepted?..' What if they say no? What then.. I'm just tying myself up with these questions.
Is anyone else waiting to hear about a place?

Welcome to Psych Central! Your feelings are understandable. I went to school in the Dark Ages, so I can't be in your category, though.

Are you talking about applying to a college for the first time?

My college days are over but I can definitely relate to those fears Did you only apply to one place or do you also have a back-up place? It's good to keep your options open just in case. I would perhaps write down what your goals & wishes are for the near future and draft plan Bs, Cs etc. Things like alternative colleges to consider, work experience, gap year, travels, volunteering etc.
That way you can figure out alternatives in case you don't get into the program of your choice. good luck with the admission process.

I got accepted somewhere but I can relate to those fears.. had them a few months back. Like chocmouse said, do you have a backup plan? It's good to have one. Hope everything goes well it can be pretty intimidating, I know!
