I go to a very technology driven school. It's engineering, computer sciences, ect. And turns out we are 'merging' [being completely bought out] by a liberal arts college before I will be able to graduate.

So now, I think my computer science major [that is game design focused] is being completely degraded because it will be tied to a liberal arts college and employers won't think twice about ignoring my resume. The price of college is also go up from this merge and almost all my friends would have to transfer or drop out.
On the flip side, it's the only thing related to the non-art aspect of game design in the state and out of state is literally twice as much. So if i want to connected to technology driven college or one that isn't known as a liberal arts college then I need to go out of state and that will probably cause me to have to take out some student loans.

Ugh. I don't know what to do

That sucks. You work so hard to get somewhere and out of the blue money is the only thing that talks and it changes everything you planned. Take a few deep breaths. Is there a school academic counselor that you could discuss this with? Hope you get some help with making a decision. It always helps to talk it out with someone else.
