I've taken a pause from school and I don't feel motivated to go back. I haven't been to school for months. I don't really feel for start again, I'm thinking about going back later this year, but I don't know what I want to study, I just feel like I have to because that's what I'm supposed to do, right. And it makes me feel so stressed and anxious, school is not a place I feel good in, and I don't like teachers that push me so hard when I'm feeling too stressed and sometimes sad, to do anything. I feel stressed being in school and I feel stressed not being there. It makes me feel worthless, and left out, or something like that. Well, it's huge stress for me and a reason I feel very depressed sometimes. Any advice or just anything, would be good.

Have you seen a doctor about your anxiety? There are medications that help with anxiety. Are you might want to try therapy. I'd probably start with therapy and see how that goes. Good luck.

I think seeing a therapist would be beneficial. Then you could work through what is going on as well as would have an opportunity to explore different coping mechanisms. As mentioned there are medications that can help supplement this as well.

I've tried that. The problem is just that I'm not interested in school and it just makes me stressed. I dont know what I want to study and it's just so hard to go back.

What are you interested in? I would make that your first priority, to check out what you want. We all have things we don't want but that is not a very good means of motivation. I would concentrate on going to school to sample what they teach, get through the basics and then look at university or volunteering somewhere to help me learn more and decide what I want to pursue beyond that.

What stresses you about school? Figure out how to ignore that part and concentrate on what you are doing/want to do instead. Learn and work on what you like, it is your life. School can be like a game, they have you learn all this stuff so you do what you can with that but mostly you concentrate on your subjects of interest, not the grades or other stuff they are interested in. I remember before computers, registration for college was all done by hand, in a huge auditorium -- you were assigned your day to come and you took your piece of paper around to all the subjects being offered, trying to get a class in the time slot and with the professor, etc. you wanted. The popular classes filled up quickly and if you had a later day or time (say Wednesday or Thursday afternoon) as the day to register, you could find a lot of courses you wanted/needed already full and have to fall back and regroup. I found it a whole lot of fun in my warped way, timing myself to see how fast I could get through the maze each semester, LOL.

I want to go to school and go back to normal but I feel like I can't. I'm too depressed to be in a school around a lot of people and focus on my schoolwork.
