I finished my biggest project for the class. It's not that great, but it's done.

Now I've got to deal with my jury duty summons. I will probably be picked, because it has come at a very stressful time for me, so of course I'm going to have more stress.

I was looking forward to Thanksgiving, because I can finally relax, but now I probably won't be able to relax because I'll have catch up on all the work I'll miss in class. And I'll have to do all my laundry, clean my apartment, and do all the chores I've been neglecting before I leave.

I had to miss one class, and it nearly broke me to do the makeup homework.

I'm also worried I jeopardize my job. I hadn't been doing so well at work this year, and this is another favor I'll have to ask from them.

If jury duty costs me my job, I don't know what I'll do. I just don't have the energy or confidence to search for a new job, do all that extra schoolwork, and clean up everything.

Glad you got that project done winterglen.

I served on jury duty for eight weeks and it stressed me out, too. It turned out that the only thing I had to do was go to an hour 'orientation' and then call every Friday evening to see if I had been selected to serve. I never did.

Sorry you are on overload. Working and going to school is difficult!
Thanks for this!

Not sure how your system works there but is there any way you can get your fury duty waive red with supporting evidence of commitments written by your employer backed up with testimonials from your course?
Thanks for this!

* I'm so sorry about the spelling - my iPad feels the need to autocorrect everything incorrectly

Don't worry about spelling. You're coherent, and this is supposed to be an informal forum.

This is a belated update, but I checked on the Friday before, and I didn't have to go.

I'll keep your advice in mind, if something like this happens again. Hopefully it shouldn't: at least I should be done with school by then.
