I recently had to leave school. I was approved to return in the fall.... hopefully I will be more stable but I had trouble staying focused in classes and note taking due to tremors from the meds I can hardly read what I write or motivation to go everyday any advice as to how to stay focused( well after I get a new cocktail) I really want to go school and work in the horticulture industry. The idea of spending the day with plants sounds heavenly

It is great you have a goal and know what you want to do. I do hope you find your way and accomplish this.
There are free, self-paced on-line classes through www.Coursera.org from top Universities across the US. It might help to take a couple of those and practice your comprehension and note-taking skills without the pressure of the classroom. I took one that was excellent. Best wishes - hold on to that dream. ![]() |

Work closely with your treating mental health professionals with regards to the medications you are on and the side effects.
Not sure how long you've been on your med combo for. Usually when I start a new med they may initially be side effects which gradually disappear as time moves on. Hopefully you are better by the fall. Wishing you well as you work your way towards the horticulture industry. Never lose sight of your dreams. |

Do you plan to register with your school's office for students with disabilities? They can provide support since you have a tremor that affects note taking.
Are you getting OSAP? If you have a permanent disability you can get some grants that help with tuition and assistive technology costs.
