How can you tell when you're having trouble concentrating on homework because of your MI (symptoms or medication side effects) or because the homework is just really hard?

Does it matter?

I guess for me, it makes me feel better if I know everyone else is having the same difficulties with the homework as I am (in my case, reading for university classes). I guess the other thing is that if it's something to do with my MI, maybe that means there's something I could do to make it easier for me, like take a nap, practice mindfulness, etc.

I think you already know what could help you (take a nap, practice mindfulness)

RomanSunburn, how are you doing now? Did taking a nap and practicing mindfulness help?

Thanks for checking in, Alice.

I don't actually remember what I ended up doing. The semester ended, so no homework to deal with at the moment.

Hello. If you are having trouble with your school work because of your MI, you should try to get an appointment with the disability department at your university. I have managed to get an IEP in school to help with my MIs. It seems to help a lot. I feel like I would have crashed if I didn't get it when I did.

But anyways, that is my advice. The answer to your question is I have trouble focusing too. I need to take breaks to help with concentration. To tell the difference, it's usually based off what symptoms I am having. If I am thinking about things related to anxiety, it's my anxiety disorders. If it's about the homework, the homework is hard. If it's a mixture, it's anxiety. That's my example though. It may be different for you. Hope this helps Concentrating.
