so my t asked i write a letter to my mother due to lots of issues with me and my mom. T asked i write what i learned and what i needed from my mom as her being a mom. I did so- then on my own i wrote a letter to my abuser. I wrote not so much what i learned but what i believe that stems from them in my life now. I wrote also that i hope they owe up to their bad & get help. I told my t of both letters. I told her of what i believe stems from past. T liked i had done that on my own & that i recognize my feelings with it. But today she asked for me to write a letter to myself. To write what is good about me and what i would like to gain or regain. I still need to do that letter but i wanted to share. Due to it has helped. I realize some of my fears with my boyfriend is due to my past abuse however my boyfriend is not like that, but it helps cuz i understand a bit on where stuff comes from thus allowing my logical mind to think more than emotional from past. Also my mother letter- it's helped for me to let go on some. Also to recognise again things to which past hurt but it's not now, also things i don't want to do due to effect it had on me. And i hope i find some good in my me letter to me too but thought i would share- perhaps could help another.
