Although I'm very open in many ways and also very spiritual (a Zen Buddhist), still I take some things with a grain of salt.

But today I decided to get a deck of tarot cards and play with them. I don't really believe in them the way some might, but I do believe in the power of symbols and our projections onto them.

The cards were fun to play with and fun to interpret. I did a chakra reading, and while I'm not sure about any of this, I still found meaning and creativity in doing it and it helped me find a colorful fun way to focus on what is going on, rather than trying to be some sort of soldier or bureaucrat trying to set up and follow rules.

I'm too rebellious for that. I do try it but it never really works. This little play with cards may not lead anywhere either, but I thought I would post to share and see if anyone does similar things that are alternatives to "goal-setting" but are still along the lines of trying to figure things out.

I like to play, when I can I set aside the "problem" and play, with words, fabric, yarn, paper, scissors, photos, or just look through boxes...used to play some with the i ching, i find collage a useful tool/expression to "see" what is going on...
