I had back surgery and have had pain since the injury.

I'm starting to exercise again. Its slow going but I'm doing it.

My goal is 5 times a week.

When I started I could only do 7 mins. I'm up to 12 now. I'm doing a walking video until it hurts then I stop but I have improved a little. I have permanent numbness in my left calf and bottom of my left foot, so I put most my weight on my right side. Pain is in the back and right leg.

I'm hoping to keep at it though.

Try water walking or water aerobics. Both help get you better without the pull of gravity. Works for me. Check out your local YMCA.

Thanks for the input. The y would be hard for me to get to but when the pool in my apartment opens up I'm try and do it that way although its pretty crowded. I could start physical therapy again though...thanks u got me thinking.

I walked today for 11 mins. I think I'm gonna see about going back into physical therapy.

I second the water exercise suggestion, but in a specialized pool - not in the apartment complex' pool. We have a neighborhood pool that even offers physical therapy for recovery from injury, in the water. And, the pool's temperature is 27C!
