My many years of depression has led to a huge weight gain in my life. When I sold off my semi truck and trailor in December of 2011 I weighed in at 357 I now weigh 295. I am now setting a goal to get down to about 200. I am going in the morning to join a gym I hope I can stick to this goal and work through my bouts of depression.

Nice, be motivated and focus to your weight loss goal. Consume more of fresh vegetables and fruits and avoid packaged food.

I am going through a similar journey. taking it slow has worked for me...I do one healthy habit and when I start to feel it is "easy to do" and part of my routine, I add in a new habit, and repeat.

For me, starting with exercise has been easier than starting with my disordered eating. For others, starting with the food piece is easier.

Wishing you continued success!

The gym I was going to join no longer operates in my state. I am looking for one that I can afford now but in the meanwhile I am eating healthy and riding my bike.

Sorry to hear the gym didn't work out; but that's great you are making good use of your bike and continuing to eat healthy

Good luck on your weight loss journey! My stepdad has been obese for most of his life and lost 100 lbs over several months - he did it on his own by cutting back calories. He integrated walking later on.

Best luck for your goal. Focus on regular workouts and balanced diet plan. Most important factor is keep self motiveted towards your goal.
