Yesterday passed and it was another day that my goal setting and planning never came through.
I am reading a self help book that did a exercise on visualizing the future. But it is not the same as goal setting. Maybe it is just in my mind how I perceive it. I come to this forum because now I am used to coming here. There are goal wetting forums I guess but like I wrote, I am now comfortable coming here to discuss with my others here as we are all trying very hard to make our life's better. I get upset every night or morning when I remember about my goal which is to get a better job and get a place for myself etc... Please help! This behavior must stop! I must grow up and stop goring sick! |

I think the fact that you are trying to set goals is a positive step. I want to pass on a link that another member passed on. It was actually one given my DocJohn in his Q&A a few weeks ago. Tiny Habits w/ Dr. BJ Fogg - Join
Maybe trying something like this may help you develop habits to assist you in accomplishing your goals. |

Autocorrect keeps changing my spellings. I swear it looked fine when I write the words.

Tiny habit was good for a week. Learn new things. I have sort of one new habit of saying "it's going to be a good day!" It was very hard in beginning but i got used to it and say it every day especially when it doesn't feel like it would. Yeah, i say it throughout the day and it doesn't sound like a lie anymore.

Think of a task you want or need to do. Block out an hour or two in your schedule to do the task. Set a timer and start your task. That is the only thing you should be concerned with during that time. No distractions, no phone, nothing but the task at hand. To start block out an hour to set some goals. Goals are fluid, put the big goals down first then divide the bigger goals into smaller more manageable tasks. If you have trouble staying on track then set shorter times to work on your task. A little day adds up.
