Hi! I guess this isn’t a question, but more of a vent/ update.
It’s been a tough and eventful year. I graduated high school, moved into college, met new people, learned things about myself that I never could when I was stuck at home. I go back home today, unfortunately, but it’s been okay. I think it’s time for me to start setting goals instead of just letting life pass me by, ya know? I struggle emotionally and socially, so I want to see a therapist first and foremost. I still feel emotionally numb, and respond to situations innappropriatey, mostly with laughter- I find it hard to be serious. It feels vulnerable and embarrassing. It really affects my social relationships.. But other than that.. I want to join 2 clubs, get a job, get a cumulative gpa of at least 3.2 so that I can get into Phi Sigma Pi, volunteer, get down to a normal weight (so lose about 30 pounds). I have a lot I want to do but am held back by mental issues; I just wanna do better and push through. Focus on myself. |

Laughing a lot can be from holding emotions in for a long time or dealing with stress or just being nervous and then there are some people who just enjoy laughing. I don't like serious people unless it's an intense situation that requires seriousness like helping someone who has been injured or needs a shoulder to cry on. Any other time seriousness gets on my nerves. I used to be that way all of the time and it was making me miserable so I decided to change that and now I can let go and be silly and let my true feelings out. It's very liberating. By the way, why did the chicken cross the playground?

Those are great goals, now how to achieve them..... I would suggest research and break them down, or you may get overwhelmed. Take one at a time. Plan, it helps!!
