I read up on it and found out a couple of ways to feel less out of it:

-if your thinking about something that makes u want to repress emotions/makes you anxious/ has you feeling dissociated start to reaffirm yourself!!

-do something that takes your mind off of it that you enjoy!! For example I have an oral fixation so I start to suck on my fingers and that helps by having positive emotions surface bc sucking on things is pleasurable for me.
Thanks for this!

Hi sickchick24

A great post - thank you - got me thinking of when I do this.

Yeah - totally I love this statement - "start to reaffirm yourself!!"

So true!

And another way that helps me is feeling my heart beat and not letting go of that feelings so that I can't avoid what I'm feeling. Ik what I'm feeling from how fast my heart is beating (that's when I wanna dissociate the most.. When my heart is beating fast cus I'm getting nervous and wanna avoid feeling that way but I just gotta deal with it and get thru the experience and that's what makes me grow) hope this helps
