I will finish high school. I will go to college to become a wildlife rehabilitator and a park ranger. I will graduate college and get a job. During this time I will be open to getting married. If I find my soul mate I will marry them. I'll settle down, buy a farm and some animals maybe start a family. But if I don't find someone I love and want to marry a few years after college I will join the army. I will devote the rest of my life to the army and I will not come back. I mean by this that if I do not have a reason to stay I will join the army and I will die while I'm deployed. Not meaning I'd go looking for trouble but that I wouldn't stop fighting and I'd protect my troop with my life because they'd be the only ones I care about and would want to go back home to their spouses and children. But if I ever got that letter saying I wouldn't be redeployed I would make sure I wouldn't come back to the states. I most likely will not live to see the age of 30 if I do join the army. These are the two possible futures I want.

If you were to say that to an enlistment officer, I'm curious what the response could be.
The farm idea sounds lovely, as does volunteering to serve your country. Hope you find what you're looking for. |
