By thinking such negative thoughts. I had a few better moments this morning when I was trying to stay in peace. It is a very hard habit to break. It happens very quickly and automatically. Distraction helps but it helped today to push the worry to its worst possible conclusion then it seemed clear that that would never happen.

that sounds like progress - well done

It happens very quickly and automatically.

oh yes years of programming from others and ourselves is hard to stop - but you can do it

My T used to say - whats the worst that could happen? and i would talk it through and often then the worry would seem ridiculous or at least very unlikely

At times - in my head i will say STOP!!!! when the negative ninja's get going (thats what my neice calls negative thoughts - negative ninjas - love it :-) ))

i used to tell my self that the negative thoughts were just facts - me facing reality - but they are not - mostly they are self destructive and self limiting and we (yes me too!) can make them go away if we keep at it - good luck
