So I have this problem where I just love food and I eat too much of it. I was obese and I got my BMI down to the overweight category mostly by just cutting out some food, but now I've gained a little bit back and don't want to go in the wrong direction.

My worst habit is snacking at night. Sometimes I'm also tempted to get lax on the weekends.

I'm counting calories and trying to stay below 1400 every day. At this point I'm not working out, nor am I interested in substituting spaghetti squash for noodles and existing on carrot sticks and cottage cheese. I am just trying to keep my eating under 1400 calories a day and control myself better.

Usually I'll have a good day or two and then blow it. So I'm trying to tackle every day itself and just get through the day without going over the 1400 mark. I'm ignoring the scale right now and just trusting if I can get in a habit of controlled eating I'll lose the weight I need to lose.

I just wanted to post here in case there's anyone who's in a similar boat who wants to use this thread to stay on track.
